An opportunity has arisen to join a well established company in the Surrey area.
The successful candidate will have a BSc in Chemistry or related discipline and an appropriate qualification or knowledge of legislation on Health & Safety. A holder of a NEBOSH qualification and / or certificate of competence in the core subjects is preferable but not essential, as training can be provided.

Duties shall include the following:

-Co-ordination of legislative requirements for the control of substances.
-Maintenance of Information Systems, to ensure compliance with local, regional and national specific legislation for both external and internal customers.
-Provision and maintenance of H&S working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all employees.
-Running of personal and static environmental samples for chemicals and noise and where necessary to provide advice on design of control systems.

Candidates must be able to write concise, informative, English language reports in a professional manner and have excellent interpersonal skills. Must be computer literate
