Our client has a number of vacancies for Research Associates to carry out project work as assigned by the DMPK Team Leader.
The successful candidates will have BSc in Life sciences, M.Pharm or related scientific discipline.
Duties:
To perform general laboratory tasks (e.g. laboratory rotas, pipette and balance calibration).
To ensure that the required standards of cleanliness within the DMPK Laboratory are maintained.
To work in close collaboration with the Team Leader to ensure the principles of Good Laboratory Practice and Health and Safety are adhered to.
To assist in the preparation, maintenance and updating of Standard Operating Procedures within the Department.
To assist in the preparation of Study Plans and/or Technical Documents in consultation with the Team Leader.
To perform in vivo and/or in vitro experiments to generate samples for the study of DMPK (e.g. in vivo PK, in vitro CaCo2, protein binding, etc).
To use the appropriate sample preparation techniques (e.g. liquid extraction, SPE, automation) to prepare samples for bioanalysis.
To communicate to the Instrument Supervisor details of any equipment which does not reach the required standard within the DMPK department.
To perform analysis (e.g. HPLC-MS, HPLC-radiochemical) of biological samples.
To use relevant software for capturing and processing raw data (e.g. Empower, Masslynx, Lims etc).
To assist in the collation and interpretation of data in consultation with the Team Leader.
To ensure that data recording and checking is performed in compliance with GLP and that complete, accurate, up-to-date records of the work are maintained in the study files.
To assist in the preparation of scientific summaries and reports in consultation with the Team Leader.
The successful candidates will have good communication skills and good
practical/technical competencies.
Responsible, professional, conscientious and positive attitude to the job.
Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail while maintaining overall objectives and must be a good team player
