Our client is seeking an experienced microbiologist to manage the day to day operation of a designated area within the laboratory.
Main Accountabilities:

      To ensure an appropriate level of technical competence is maintained and demonstrated by the technical team.
To build a strong team that works effectively together as a single unit and thereby maximises productivity.
To build effective working relationships with customers, suppliers and members of staff.
To deputise for the Lab Manager and other microbiologist colleagues in
their absence
To review reports and sign them off as required.
To provide sound Microbiological advise to clients.
To ensure and maintain confidentiality of all work at all times.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
BSc or HND in Microbiology (or equivalent), however experience will be taken into account.
Several years experience working in a water/ food Laboratories.
Experience of supervising staff.
Good standard of verbal and written communication.
Able to work accurately under pressure.
Able to cope with rapid changes in priorities in order to satisfy customer requirements.
Able to work under minimal supervision, and to make day to day decisions within working guidelines.
Willing to work outside of normal hours as required.
