Our client is a leading global pharmaceutical company seeking several research scientists
within their analytical department. The positions are initially for 12 months.
The successful candidates will be educated to BSc or MSc in Analytical Chemistry,
M.pharm or related discipline and have relevant analytical chemistry experience or
postgraduate qualification (PhD or relevant MSc).
Duties:
1. To prepare apparatus, equipment (HPLC, GC, Karl Fisher, UV, potentiometer, coulometric, dissolution apparatus) and any appropriate documentation for analytical studies and subsequent analysis of samples received from these studies.
2. To perform analysis (quantitation, identification) which encompasses the following:
o Stability studies, including drug substance and drug product analysis,
o Identification and quantitation of related substances,
o Control of drug product and drug substance
3. To assist in the development and validation of methods to meet the needs of the Department.
4. To prepare and update SOPs.
5. To assist with the preparation of information reports and summary reports.
6. To assist in other duties as required in the Analytical Department not specifically outlined in this section.
7. To ensure that the standard of work is in compliance with GMP and to maintain a state of cleanliness within the designated laboratory area.
8. To be responsible for the maintenance of capital equipment as indicated in the list of equipment.

Good communication skills.
Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail while maintaining overall objectives.
