Research Associate- Analytical Chemistry x5

Location: Berkshire Salary:18-24K

 

MAIN FUNCTION

To carry out project work as assigned by the Team leader within the team including undertaking routine tasks based on the analytical support

SPECIFIC DUTIES
To perform general laboratory tasks (e.g; laboratory rotas, IR and balance calibration)
To ensure that the standard of work is in compliance with GMP and to maintain a state of cleanliness within the designated laboratory area.
To assist in the preparation, maintenance and updating of SOPs
To assist in the preparation of laboratory equipment (HPLC, GC, Karl Fisher, UV, potentiometer, coulometric, dissolution apparatus,…) and any appropriate documentation for analytical studies and subsequent analysis of samples received from these studies.
To perform analysis (quantitation, identification) which encompasses the following:
o Stability studies, including drug substance and drug product analysis,
o Identification and quantitation of related substances,
o Control of drug product and drug substance

To assist in the development and validation of methods to meet the needs of the Department.
To assist with the preparation of raw data and summary reports.
To assist in other duties as required in the Analytical Department not specifically outlined in this section.

To undertake any other study or project-related tasks as delegated by the Team Leader of Post Marketing Analytical Laboratory
To develop and to maintain excellent working relationship with laboratory personnel and all other staff.
To ensure safety standards are maintained and accident records are completed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educated to degree level (BSc) or equivalent (e.g. MPharm) in a scientific discipline.
INDISPENSIBLE QUALITIES

Good communication skills.
Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail while maintaining overall objectives.

Sound work ethic.
