This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established company in North West of UK.The role of this position can be divided into a number of areas,

Spectroscopic analysis

- Spectroscopic analysis of raw materials and finished products using IR and UV spectroscopy.
- Evaluation of elemental composition of process deposits ands film samples using techniques such as XRF, AA or specific elemental tests.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on analytical samples such as process chemicals or finished films.
- Evaluate the surface chemistry of film samples using TofSIMS and other related techniques.
- Develop a spectroscopic database of  film properties combining IR and mass spectral data.
- Take responsibility for the calibration of spectroscopic instruments

Test method development

Develop appropriate test methods related to surface characterization
Take part in the validation of new and existing test methods
Take an active role in the companies inter laboratory correlation testing
program.
The ideal candidate will have BSc/MSc/PhD in Chemistry or related discipline with 2-5 years experience in spectroscopy labs
