This is an exciting position that calls for a self motivated, creative and high-calibre Senior Technician to work on projects using methods and procedures under limited supervision, interpret results and generate reports. Takes responsibility for running specific parts of projects. Good understanding of the physical and chemical properties of the materials used in the laboratory

Key accountabilities

Show active SHE involvement to make the laboratory a safer place to work.
Work on developing and testing new products, evaluating products for external customers bench marking standard products and new development.
Ownership and operation of various items of equipment in the laboratory ensuring that it is in safe working order and fit for purpose. In particular, ownership and operation of the Roll-coater for development projects and customer trials.

The successful candidates will have a HNC / GRSC or equivalent with some experience in adhesive/polymer/materials, or A levels and relevant industrial experience Or previous experience as a Senior Technician working in a laboratory environment

Desirable: Previous experience in the use and maintenance of machinery
